Ramadan 2024

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: 
“When Ramadan enters, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the devils are chained.”

 [Sunan an-Nasa’i 2106]

We are all owed gratitude to the Most High, Most Gracious, and Most Merciful. Ramadan is the ideal moment to increase good actions, break bad habits, ask for forgiveness and repentance, feeding the hungry, and strive to eventually enter Jannah InshaAllah!

Iftar Meals

In Ramadan, we share and show compassion. Millions of people are starving because they cannot afford basic food. They fast because they have no option, while we fast in order to obey Allah (swt) and purify our spirits.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

 “Whoever gives iftar to a fasting person will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.”

Ramadan Food Packs

During this Ramadan, feed your needy brothers and sisters. You may feed a household of four to six people for the whole month for just thirty pounds, and Allah (swt) will reward you for providing for the poor.

Poverty Relief Team is able to provide emergency food aid to 21 impoverished countries across the globe, including Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and in Africa and more because to your kind donations.

A man asked the Prophet which aspect of Islam was best. The Prophet replied, “Feeding the hungry and saying salaam to those you know and those you don’t know.”

Zakat

One of the Five Pillars of Islam is ZakaT, an annual act of worship that is required of all Muslims worldwide. We donate to the underprivileged and destitute 2.5 percent of our yearly savings.

Your zakat will be utilised to offer emergency relief and save lives in 21 countries who are experiencing crises and disasters all around the world. Syria, Pakistan, Turkey, Palestine, Lebanon, Kenya, Malawi, Congo, Ethiopia, and Uganda are some of these nations.

“Giving Zakat is more beloved to Allah than giving in charity during the entire year.”

Zakat-Ul-Fitr

Fitrana is a required donation that enables all Muslims to have food on Eid. Before Eid, Poverty Relief Team will ensure that the most in need receive it.

The Prophet (ﷺ) commanded that Zakat-ul-fitr be provided on behalf of all family members, regardless of age, and that it be paid prior to the Eid prayer. Make a £5 donation for each person today to satisfy your obligation.

Ibn Abbas narrated that:

“The Prophet (saw) made Zakat al-Fitr compulsory so that those who fasted may be purified of their idle deeds and shameful talk and sop that the poor may be fed.”

Kaffarah

If you knowingly miss a fast during Ramadan without a justifiable reason, you must pay charity known as Kaffarah, to feed someone for two months.

If you’re paying to feed 60 meals for missing a fast deliberately, then the donation would be £240.

Abu Hurayrah narrated:

“A person came to the Prophet (saw) and said, ‘O the Messenger of Allah, I am ruined.’ The Prophet asked what happened. He said that he had broken the Ramadan fast intentionally. The Prophet told him to free a slave. When he said that he had no slave, he ordered him to fast for two months incessantly. When he said that he was unable to do so, he told him to feed poor people.”

Fidya

Fidya is paid when a fast is missed due to necessity, such as travel, illness, or pregnancy, and cannot be made up later. Your donation must provide a needy beneficiary with two meals for each fast missed. The current Fidya amount is £5 to feed one person.
